Wine House Residential Quarter Named Winner of Best Completed Construction Project Competition
The new Wine House Residential Quarter (owned and developed by Hals-Development) was named the Best Completed Construction Project of Comfort Apartment Blocks at the Best Completed Construction Project competition, as selected by the city competition committee. In 2017, about 100 applications were submitted for consideration, 36 of which qualified to the finals, competing in 12 categories. Over 100,000 Muscovites cast their votes in the open voting on the Active Citizen website, at the project exhibition in the 75th pavilion of VDNKh and on the competition website. The awards were handed over by Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin at the Awards Ceremony celebrating the Construction Worker Day.
“The Wine House Residential Quarter is a landmark project for Hals-Development, as it includes not only a carefully restored heritage building, but also new residential buildings designed by two leading studios – SPEECH and Reserve. The complex is a good example of neoclassical residential architecture and high-quality construction in the historic center of the city. We are grateful to the distinguished jury and the residents of Moscow for their high opinion of our work,” comments Sergey Litskevich, Vice President, Director of Construction Department at Hals-Development.
The Wine House Quarter is a residential complex in Zamoskvorechye, designed by the leading SPEECH Architectural Bureau and Reserve Creative Production Union. Wine House is a low-rise block complex with a total area of about 55,000 sq m expressed in two architectural styles. The buildings designed by Reserve are austere in appearance. The façades designed by SPEECH are more decorated, making use of an elegant relief with a stylized floral pattern. The central element and the jewel of the complex is its 19th century listed regional heritage building that was restored in 2015 and today accommodates loft apartments. The Wine House Residential Quarter offers 160 apartments with areas ranging between 62 and 227 sq m. Top floors accommodate a number of residences with open terraces and fireplaces. The complex includes a two-level underground garage with 420 parking spaces.
In 2016, the heritage building within the Wine House Quarter – the Warehouse of the Partnership of Vodka Distillery of Pyotr Smirnov – was named the Best Completed Project for Restoration and Modern-Use Adaptation of Heritage Property at the Best Completed Construction Project competition.
